History of the library
The library tradition in Tetovo has deep roots in the history of these areas. The exact date of the library's founding is not well-known, but it is believed that 1945 is the year when the library began operating under the People's Education Commissariat. Initially, it was housed in a newly built house of the well-known Tetovo merchant Mato Simoski-Çenka.
